BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox, in conjunction with diversityinbusiness.com and Major League Baseball, selected six vendors to be recognized by the America's Best Diverse Suppliers (ABDS) Program. The ABDS Program provides a platform for private and public sector organizations like the Red Sox to recognize and promote the best diverse suppliers. The six vendors were selected based on criteria including the quality of service or products provided, as well as the length and scope of the team's relationship. Each organization will receive a digital medallion that can be placed on their company websites as a testament to their special recognition. All businesses are currently featured on the diversityinbusiness.com website. "From signage and paper supplies to media, marketing and moving, our diverse suppliers make important contributions to our operation and we rely on them to help us run a championship-caliber Red Sox organization," said Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino. "We welcome this opportunity to team up with diversityinbusiness.com to give broader recognition to our diverse suppliers." The six companies being recognized by the Red Sox and ABDS include:
causemedia, Newton, MA
The Eastern Bag and Paper Group, Tewksbury, MA
El Mundo Boston, Jamaica Plain, MA
New England Household Moving, Holliston, MA
New England Sign Services, Norton, MA
Sign Design, Brockton, MA Through its Diverse Business Partners Program, the Red Sox cultivate and enhance relationships with women and minority-owned businesses in the region while providing opportunities for those partners to compete for the club's business while promoting their development and expansion.
