The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward and Miami Dade Counties and the Marlins Foundation will partner once again to host the Annual Dollars and Strikes Night on Saturday, May 12, 2012. This event gives over 100 children from various Boys & Girls Clubs units the opportunity to attend a Major League Baseball game.

The Marlins Foundation presented the first annual Andre Dawson Scholarship Award Friday, June 3rd, 2011. The 2011 scholarship recipient, Alex Puigbo, received a $5,000 scholarship to help further his education at Miami Dade College. Andre Dawson was honored by Marlins President, David Samson, with a scholarship in his name at the Andre Dawson 2010 Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon. The Andre Dawson Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior on the Southwest High School Varsity Baseball Team, the same team where Dawson got his start in baseball. Funded by the Marlins Foundation, the scholarship is awarded to a student athlete that will not be receiving an athletic scholarship but possess a desire to continue their education.

Through Marlins fans donations, the Marlins Foundation is able to provide tickets to underserved youth in South Florida, giving them the opportunity to attend a Major League Baseball game. Since its inception, the Fans Care Program has enabled over 75,000 children to attend a Marlins game. Fans Care Day is Friday, August 10th, 2012. The Raffle gives fans the opportunity to win one of fifteen authentic game-used autographed Miami Marlins jerseys. Raffle proceeds benefit the Marlins Foundation and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The Marlins Foundation will host the Annual Blow Out Sales on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012. From the time the parking lots open until the end of the 3rd inning, fans have the opportunity to purchase Marlins memorabilia from current and former Marlins players, various MLB teams' memorabilia and a variety of game used equipment. Last year's event raised over $13,000 benefiting the Marlins Foundation's Charity Partners.

The Marlins Foundation and the ALS Recovery Fund will partner once again to host ALS Day on Sunday, August 12th, 2012. Members of the ALS Recovery Fund and their supporters will enjoy the day a day at the ballpark, all in the name of charity. During the game the famous Lou Gehrig's "Luckiest Man" Speech will be played for the home crowd to hear. A special online auction with six unique experiences will be hosted during the month of July, which will include a First Pitch and Meet N Greets with your favorite Marlins player. The online auction and group game tickets proceeds will benefit the ALS Recovery Fund.
