During our inaugural year at Marlins Park, the Marlins Foundation launched a new philosophy of philanthropy and service. As an organization, we focus our giving and Marlins "Ayudan" service towards selected Charity Partners. For the 2012 season, we were happy to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade, City Year Miami, Miracle League of Miami-Dade, Shake-A-Leg Miami and Teach for America.
In recognition of the vital role non-profits play in South Florida, the Marlins Foundation will select four 2013 Charity Partners to empower with our philanthropy and service. In addition to drawing media coverage to their causes, the Marlins will make $25,000 donations to South Florida non-profit organizations that focus their programming in the areas of education, arts, and youth-related baseball.
All of this is made possible through the incredible support of corporate partners, individual donors, fans, Marlins players, and our own front-office staff. On behalf of the thousands of children your organizations help every day, we wish you the best of luck in becoming a 2013 Charity Partner.
