On Thursday, August 30th, 2012 the Marlins Foundation partnered with the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame for the National ID Recovery Fish 'N Chips - A Night of Legends.
Guests joined Marlins baseball legends Jeff Conine, Andre Dawson, Mike Lowell, Tony Perez, Cookie Rojas and Latino Baseball Hall of Fame inductees at Marlins Park for a night of Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Dominos and Craps, all in the name of charity. The night was filled with delicious food, rousing music by Salzon Jazz and DJ Daz, a silent auction, and special guest appearances from Billy The Marlin and the Marlins Sea Creatures. This year's Fish 'N Chips served as a celebration of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame 2013 Class Induction, which was announced earlier that day. The downtown Miami skyline, along with the breathtaking views of the ballpark, created the perfect backdrop for an exquisite Miami chic night. Guests gaming chips were exchanged for raffle tickets for prizes such as a Giancarlo Stanton game- used and autographed #42 jersey, "A Date Night on the Town - Miami Style", and a "Watch Party" for eight at Duffy's Sports Grill.
Thanks to all of the fans that contributed to this signature fundraising event that benefitted South Florida's future baseball hall of famers, Marlins RBI and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami Dade baseball programs.
