The Marlins Foundation celebrated the 3rd Annual Jack McKeon Celebrity Golf Classic at Crandon Golf in Key Biscayne on February 17th.
This tournament drew over 200 golfers to Crandon Golf Course to enjoy a fun day on the links with Marlins players, coaches and broadcasters. 2003 World Series Champion, Jack McKeon and event chairman, Marlins Manager, Don Mattingly came together to make this year's tournament the place to be, play and raise funds for the Marlins Foundation. Prior to the tournament's shotgun start, golfers and guests enjoyed a kick off reception including beverages, entertainment, a silent auction and a boxed deli style lunch. During the tournament, when golfers weren't trying their luck at the hole contests, they enjoyed various food stations, cocktail stations and sharing unique moments with their team.
After an exciting day on the green, attendees were invited to stay for a cocktail reception followed by a gourmet buffet awards dinner where the Marlins Foundation highlighted the winners from that day.
With the funds raised from this event, the Marlins Foundation will continue to support the Charity Partners of the Miami Marlins through philanthropy and service. The Foundation is committed to improving the lives of our youth through education, the arts and baseball, with a focus on children with special needs. The funds raised by the Foundation provide unique experiences for kids in our schools, parks and on the water.
