The Marlins recognize that an important part of developing a strong mind is stimulating creativity and imagination. Therefore, the Marlins pursue partnerships with arts programs and museums that strive to enhance the lives and learning of children and adults alike.
The Marlins Masterpieces Art Series was developed with the goal of expanding the Marlins arts program in South Florida throughout the calendar year. There are three components of the Marlins Masterpieces Art Series: the Spring Series, the Summer Series, and the Holiday Series. Students may create a collage, a painting, drawing, or even a computer generated image.
The Marlins Think Tank is a curriculum-enhancement program that utilizes the Miami Marlins as the basis for learning! Marlins Think Tank aims to enrich the learning experiences of children in grades 4 through 6 by linking baseball to the curriculum areas of writing, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and health & fitness. The program provides lesson plans which meet common core state standards as adopted by FDOE, with the Miami Marlins as the lesson theme!

The Marlins Spring Series encourages kids to use their imagination to create a work of art based on Jackie Robinson's values to live by, which he demonstrated while breaking barriers in sports and in life. In your artwork display any of Jackie's 9 values:

Breaking Barriers: In Sports, In Life is a multi-curricular character education program developed by Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players' Trust for Children, and Scholastic, Inc. Using baseball-themed features, activities, and lessons, the program is designed to teach children the values and traits they need to deal with barriers and challenges in their lives.
The mission of the Marlins Speakers Bureau is to educate fans and convey a positive message about the sport of baseball. The Speakers Bureau encourages front office members to actively communicate the Club's vision for the future, while listening carefully to the community for feedback. The Marlins are proud supporters of Teach for America. Since 2005, the Marlins Foundation has sponsored teachers in Miami through Teach for America. This past school year the Marlins sponsored five teachers from Miami Central High School and five teachers from Miami Edison Senior High School. More »
