Justin Maxwell doubled to begin the fourth, later scoring the second tally.

Jason Adam picked up the win, working around a pair of runs in the first. The eighth-ranked Royals prospect went 7.0 innings, striking out six while scattering five hits and a walk. Max Ramirez recorded four hits and an RBI. Cody Fassold (3.0 IP, 3 H), Ali Williams (2.0 IP), and Scott Alexander (2.0 IP) combined on a shutout in game two. 19th-ranked Royals prospect Cheslor Cuthbert delivered a two-run single in the third.

He's third in the league with a .338 average. Mauricio Ramos doubled twice, finishing with three hits, two RBI and two runs. Dex Kjerstad was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run. Alfredo Escalera added three hits and two runs. Jake Junis (5.0 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO) improved to 6-1 over his last eight starts. Andrew Edwards and Kevin Perez tossed 2.0 scoreless innings apiece. Edwards fanned five, with Perez striking out three.
