Major League Baseball and Chevrolet, the official vehicle of Major League Baseball, announced that Logan Morrison was named the Marlins 2013 nominee for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevrolet. Logan Morrison is one of the 30 Club finalists for the annual award, which recognizes a Major League Baseball player who best represents the game of baseball through positive contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and community involvement.

The Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevrolet pays tribute to Clemente's achievements and character by recognizing current players who truly understand the value of helping others. The 15-time MLB All-Star and Hall of Famer who died in a plane crash on New Year's Eve 1972 while attempting to deliver supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.

Miami Marlins nominee, infielder Logan Morrison, was nominated for his support to Marlins Foundation and his contribution to the American Lung Association through his Lomo's Camp for a Cure. Since his MLB debut in 2010, Morrison has participated in the annual Marlins Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament, attended The Annual Awards Dinner, The Fish 'N Chips Casino Party, as well as the Marlins Fantasy Auction presented by Fox Sports. Logan also actively participates in the Club's annual Caravan week, spending time at local events throughout the tri-county area. He participated in events during Marlins Ayudan Week this past February, which raised $30,000 for the Marlins Foundation.

Following the passing of his father, Logan has committed to support the American Lung Association and created Lomo's Camp for a Cure, a two-day baseball camp he hosts prior to Spring Training to teach kids about the fundamentals of baseball, as well as a texting campaign he promotes via twitter. To this day Lomo's Camp for a Cure has raised over $230,000 for the American Lung Association. Along with Lomo's Camp for a Cure, Logan started a partnership program with a young boy, Connor Goodman, called LoMo's MVP. The program was created for Logan to spend time with kids who have lost their parent(s) as he did, use the opportunity to talk about the difficulties of losing a parent and giving them a day to remember and cope with their loss. Morrison also has a program called LoMo's Suite Dreams, where he invites children dealing with or having overcome a life threatening illness/trauma to a Marlins game, enjoy batting practice, tour the clubhouse and are catered in a suite for the child and family. Project LoMo is another program he created, which came into effect after starting a community service project personally significant to him, and helping a young boy to do the same, he took on the cause of encouraging youth to create their own charitable projects through Project LoMo. Project LoMo is a call to action rallying youth to better their community. In 2012 in another attempt to help the youth of South Florida deal with difficult challenges, Logan led the charge in the clubhouse to participate in the Bald, Brave, Beautiful Project. While hosting children from the Miami Children's Hospital cancer center, Logan invited his teammates, front office, and fans to come out to Marlins Park and shave their heads in support of these young children who are going through chemotherapy. Over 70 staff and players shaved their heads, while an additional 150 fans joined the effort.
