NEW YORK -- The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) will bring baseball fans everywhere even closer to their favorite Major League Baseball players, with a new Website, www.MLBPLAYERS.com. Starting today, MLBPLAYERS.com replaces bigleaguers.com as the Players Choice on the Web, providing unprecedented access to the performances and personalities of all Major Leaguers with a close-up look at the game through their eyes.
New and unique features include:
"Inside Baseball" -- Part of a new Magazine section examining the game between the lines, from fundamentals to strategies as told by the players themselves. The magazine section will also feature first-person Player Perspectives, Q&A segments and feature stories.
"Sights and Sounds" -- This section will allow fans to hear directly from their favorite players during the "Players Talk" interview show, and also offers audio and video clips of the players' awe-inspiring on-field performances.
"Mailbag" -- Fans now have their chance to interact directly with some of their favorite players by submitting e-mail questions to a selected player each week.
