Dean Treanor returns to Marlins organization, entering first season as bullpen coach, his first Major League coaching assignment. Had previously served organization as manager at Triple-A Albuquerque in 2003 and from 2005-08...Prior to current assignment, spent six seasons managing Triple-A Indianapolis in Pittsburgh Pirates system. Guided Indians to three division titles in that span (2012-13, 2015) with overall record of 481-393 (.550)...In 2016, skippered team to 70-74 record, one season after appearing in International League Championship series (lost to Columbus 2-3)...In 2012, led Indianapolis to 89-55 record, marking most wins in all of Minor League baseball that season. Also most wins by Indianapolis team since 1988 (89-53)...Managed in Dominican (2008-09, 2011-12, 2015) and Puerto Rico (2010) winter leagues. Was three-time winner of Manager of the Year award in Dominican Winter League (2009, '11, '15). Reached Caribbean Series with Toros del Este in 2011...Prior to managing Indianapolis, spent 2010 campaign as pitching coach for Indians, following one season as pitching coach for Double-A Altoona...Holds Albuquerque Isotopes' record for career managerial wins (429) and ranks fourth all-time at Indianapolis (401)...Spent 2004 campaign as Marlins pitching Minor League pitching coordinator, between stints managing at Albuquerque...Before coming to Marlins organization in 2002, worked three seasons as Triple-A pitching coach in Dodgers' system...Has also seen time as pitching coach for Triple-A Ottowa (1998) and Double-A Harrisburg (1996-97) in Montreal system. In addition, was pitching coach in San Diego system for Waterloo (1992-93), Rancho Cucamonga (1994) and Memphis (1995)...Began managerial career in Cleveland organization with Fresno in 1988.
