The Blue Jays Baseball Academy, in collaboration with Blue Jays Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar, hosted the inaugural Tournament 12, a national baseball showcase tournament at Rogers Centre, September 20-24.
All players were selected by the Blue Jays Baseball Academy with assistance from the Blue Jays Scouting Department, Baseball Canada and the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau.
September 28 – Tournament 12 instantly made an impact on one Canadian baseball player. The Blue Jays announced on Saturday that they agreed to a deal with right-hander Andrew Case of Saint John, New Brunswick.
